DIVERSITY THROUGH DANCE - Is a workshop designed for School projects, or non-profit institutions  as well as private settings at The Armenta Studio.

Laura Armenta has been working with children for the past 16 years. She's taught at Grand Rapids Ballet, G. R. Public School System and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Currently she an Artist in Recidency at the Grandville Avenue Academy for the Arts, and Boys and Girls Club of G. R.  Ms. Armenta is a certified Yoga Instructor and has studied kinesiology and various holistic disciplines that complement  her teaching skills.

 

This is a fun and dynamic class, where children will enjoy great music, fun easy to follow songs and beats. Children can learn how to maintain their natural flexibility and discover how to use their body. Building efficient strength, and developing social skills by interacting with each other. 

Yoga-Dance class has its foundation on Dance Ethnology, where kids learn about different cultures, by learning rhythms, songs, and different fun steps from different countries. As well as fun and powerful yoga techniques are utilized to focus the mind and build coordination. 

The class integrates great musical diversity with a easy to understand emphasis on breathing techniques using the body as instruement.
